Another dear friend has passed on to her next adventure. This time, from cancer. I'd met Jessica Masserant several years ago at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. Later, I ran into her when we were extras in a local film. She was a talented, fun lady with a quick wit and quicker smile. She had an amazing heart. Jess introduced me to the most wonderful whiskey called "French Kiss," some type of vanilla liquor. Finding it anymore is impossible! Martial arts, Steampunk jewelry, acting, directing...you name it, she's done it - and well. She leaves behind a husband, two boys, and a host of friends who adore her.
My editor and I have finished the latest round of edits for "The Maiden's Courage." I'm having my beta readers check it out to see what they think before moving forward.
I've reworked the first chapter of A Piece of Stake (Lex Jensen #1). Let's see if it gets a better reception with the agents!
I've also just started work again on Vampire's Kiss (Lex Jensen #2). Even though I have no problem with the editing phase, I do enjoy the initial writing phase. Oh, what the heck? I enjoy it all!
See you next week!
