Some complain about the editing process, but I actually enjoy it. It reminds me of the rocks that are in our rock tumbler in the garage right now. They start out pretty, but rough. With different levels of grit, the rocks become polished until they're "perfect" - or to your desired level of perfection. Seeing the differences between the first and last days is pretty spectacular. It's something to be proud of. Just like a manuscript when it goes through the different levels of editing.
A Piece of Stake, my urban fantasy, is currently in the "search for an agent" phase. I've got a lot of notes for its sequel, Vampire's Kiss. This little pirate adventure I'm working on will be a fun change of pace. I plan on self publishing, though anything could happen between now and then.
